You will love this story if you like real western story telling. Nathaniel is very descriptive in his writing and makes you feel like your there with the characters. It is really emotional and thought provoking. It made me long for the more simple times. The main character is Kate and she has quite the adventure once she turns 18 all heck breaks loose and she has to survive on her own. She thinks she found love and a place to make a home but gets deceived and starts on a new path towards finding her way. I don't want to give too many details away but regardless this is a wonderful story and I can not wait to read the next book in this series to find out what happens next. That is the sign of a good writer when you want to read the next book and I do!
