This book would be so beneficial to have if you are a project manager. It would help guide you through all the procedures of working on multiple projects with a whole mixture of resources . It outlines all the steps to make good decisions and helps you plan out your strategy for implementing your projects. This book is very thorough and has illustrations along with charts and graphs to show you how all the ideas work. Every chapter is very detailed and you should have no problem understanding the methods laid out in the book.

The author shows us that here are 3 essential requirements needed. They are as follows:

  1. More efficiency through simple principles : Is short meaning, supplying projects with the resources they need to prevent bad multitasking and enable employees to stay focused on completing their tasks.
  2. Project portfolio and resource capacity management: A practicable solution for this is the staggering of projects. This enables top management to focus on the integration phase and to support project work most effectively.
  3. Increasing Capacity: By establishing a team with the most experienced and most efficient employees will mean that the top workers can be utilized exactly where they will have the most significant effect for the business as a whole.

By reading and implementing the ideals in this book it could help you avoid mistakes that a lot of people make and it gives examples of how the mistakes affect your projects. I would advise any manager to read this book, it could only help you be successful in forming great projects.
