This book was very easy to follow. I like how it gave me all the information I need to be able to crochet. I tried to learn before but I could not follow the written crochet patterns. I wish I had had this book when I first tried to learn how to crochet. It has a list of the abbreviations and what they mean, it was very detailed in description and made it easy to understand. The graphics for the crochet stitches were clear and there were even links to videos for each stitch so you could see how they were created not just read about it. There was a lot of really pretty crochet patterns and it gave us very thorough instructions for making each one. I especially liked the crochet pattern for the heart hat, it is so cute. I think I will have to try to make that for sure. This book would be good for a beginner because it tells you everything you need to know including what items you need to have to be able to start with on your way of learning how to crochet.
